A ship that sustains damage equal or greater than its Destroyed rating will begin to sink, at GM discretion. An airship that takes just enough damage to equal or move beyond its Destroyed rating threshold might begin to drift toward the earth, unable to support any futher lift. It might even be steerable as it descends. However, a ship that significantly exceeds its Destroyed rating (say, taking additional damage beyond that rating equal to its Critical rating) might immediately plummet earthward with the crew completely unable to affect any maneuvering as it falls.
Waterborne vessels react similarly. However, no Destroyed waterborne ship is steerable as it sinks
